Yes, Vercel has a free Hobby plan that's more than enough for most side projects and MVPs — with one condition that catches people out: Hobby is for personal, non-commercial use only.
What's Free?
The Hobby plan includes 100 GB of data transfer per month, automatic HTTPS, and unlimited deployments, capped at the plan limits — Hobby accounts cannot buy additional usage.
When Do You Need to Pay?
You need Pro ($20/month, which includes $20 of usage credit) in two cases: your project becomes commercial, or you outgrow the Hobby caps. Team features are a third reason. Running a business site on Hobby is a terms violation, not just a capacity question.
